day 32
I'm currently dedicating this blog to a project I'm calling A Hundred Days of Dinosaurs. My first post was August 28th and the story reads consecutively forward from there, with the latest post at the top. I'm tracking the story of a little dinosaur named Gus as he makes his way through the Jurassic. It's a stream-of-consciousness ride and I have no idea where it's going, but I'm having a blast finding out!

day 30
I'm nearly a third of the way into the project now. I noticed the blog shows fifty entries at a time, without having to go back to earlier posts. I'm not yet sure if that break will affect the rhythm of the story or not... ( but will most likely let the content drive whatever I decide to do...) But it's something I'm finding myself thinking about a bit now. I'm also kind of feeling my way through a general overall idea as to what'll happen in a general way. It's pretty interesting, just as a process, to see how the this thing is kind of taking a life of it's own.

day 24
As I'm working straight ahead on my hundred days of dinosaurs, I'm starting to form a thought of how it's going to work as a whole piece. I'm finding I have a general concept emerging, but working in this fashion, it's difficult at this point to see how an overall story arc is going to work. It may be too short for a hundred days,...it may go over a hundred days( although I'm wanting to commit to these constraints, since that was my initial concept.) Kinda flying without a net, but I'm having a good time with the project anyway!

day 20
It's interesting how this project is developing in my mind...it's pretty apparent that the T-Rex is immerging as the dominant villain of the piece...not surprising 'cause he's the coolest ever!
...of course there are other interesting meat-eating antagonists that could be cool, but it's hard to beat the king!
...besides... they're fun to draw.
(...and nobody'd be afraid of an herbivore!)

well, I've made it to day 6 of my hundred days of dinosaurs project. I 'm glad I didn't pre-emp the project by committing to a post EVERY day, but I'll do the best I can to keep it going. I wish the post could be modified so that you could scroll down to advance the story, rather than up, but evidently that's not in the cards.
I've been thinking a bit about Gus and am not really sure what kind of dinosaur he is; probably a velociraptor, but I'm open to other ideas from any dinosaur afficianados out there! ....maybe he'll grow into an Allosaurus, who knows?
