I'm currently dedicating this blog to a project I'm calling A Hundred Days of Dinosaurs. My first post was August 28th and the story reads consecutively forward from there, with the latest post at the top. I'm tracking the story of a little dinosaur named Gus as he makes his way through the Jurassic. It's a stream-of-consciousness ride and I have no idea where it's going, but I'm having a blast finding out!

day 50
Well I'm now officially half way done with my hundred days of dinosaurs!
I'm finding I'm now back into a more stream of conscious mindset than a while back. Before I took a few weeks off I was thinking of the whole of the project with an overall arc, but those thoughts have faded a bit as I was away form the project. It's probably something I should put a little attention on, but it's actually kind of satisfying letting the story inform me as to the next events as I get to them. I'll try to figure something out as I go!

day 46
I went to the dinosaur exhibit at the LA museum of Natural History yesterday which was very cool. Ironically, I'd already posted yesterday's post, (which was of Gus narrowly avoiding the spikes of a Stegosaurus) when I learned that stegosaurus wasn't even in the same era as triceritops or T-Rexes...by 80 million years! Perhaps had I not already posted, I may have adapted the steggie to another dinosaur, but since I had, I'm chalking it up to artistic license!

day 34
Thank you to everyone who has left the nice comments. I really appreciate your compliments and support!
I've now acquired quite a collection of dinosaur figures/toys...I'm pretty sure my wife thinks I've reverted back to childhood...my desk is littered with critters now! I can't believe how cool dinosaur toys are these day...when I was a kid these kinds of things were in a whole different league than what they've evolved into!

day 30
I'm nearly a third of the way into the project now. I noticed the blog shows fifty entries at a time, without having to go back to earlier posts. I'm not yet sure if that break will affect the rhythm of the story or not... ( but will most likely let the content drive whatever I decide to do...) But it's something I'm finding myself thinking about a bit now. I'm also kind of feeling my way through a general overall idea as to what'll happen in a general way. It's pretty interesting, just as a process, to see how the this thing is kind of taking a life of it's own.

day 24
As I'm working straight ahead on my hundred days of dinosaurs, I'm starting to form a thought of how it's going to work as a whole piece. I'm finding I have a general concept emerging, but working in this fashion, it's difficult at this point to see how an overall story arc is going to work. It may be too short for a hundred days,...it may go over a hundred days( although I'm wanting to commit to these constraints, since that was my initial concept.) Kinda flying without a net, but I'm having a good time with the project anyway!
